オスカー・ココシュカ

Oskar Kokoschka (1886–1980) was an Austrian painter, playwright, and graphic artist whose nervous, expressionistic style emerged from his belief that art captured inner vision rather than optical fact. Trained at Vienna's progressive Kunstgewerbeschule, he first gained attention through illustrated poetry and decorative work before establishing himself as a portraitist of unsettling intensity between 1909 and 1914.
