ダフィット・テニールス

David Teniers the Younger (1610–1690) was a Flemish Baroque painter of extraordinary range and productivity. Born in Antwerp to a painter father, he mastered history painting, portraiture, and landscape, but made his mark as the leading innovator of peasant genre—tavern scenes, country festivals, and domestic life rendered with keen observation and wit. In 1637 he married into the Brueghel family, strengthening ties to Rubens's circle.
