ピーテル・ブリューゲル

Pieter Brueghel the Younger (1564–1638) was a Flemish painter born in Brussels, the eldest son of Pieter Bruegel the Elder. Orphaned by five years old, he was raised by his grandmother Mayken Verhulst, an accomplished miniaturist. After training in Antwerp under the landscape painter Gillis van Coninxloo, he established himself as an independent master in 1585 and built a prolific workshop that operated from modest circumstances until at least 1609.
