Enoch Wood Perry, Jr.

Enoch Wood Perry Jr. (1831–1915) was a Boston-born painter who came of age in New Orleans, where his family settled when he was a teenager. He studied in Europe for four years, training under Emanuel Leutze at the Düsseldorf Academy, Thomas Couture in Paris, and working in Rome, before serving as U.S. consul in Venice.
